What are Carports?

A carport is a covered structure designed to provide shelter for vehicles, typically parked outside a house or a building.

Unlike a garage, a carport usually has an open design, with support posts and a roof to protect the vehicle from the elements.

Solar panels can be placed on top of carports to generate clean energy from the sun. This is a great way to make use of the space and provide additional benefits beyond just sheltering cars.

The solar panels can either be mounted directly onto the carport roof, or they can be mounted on a separate structure above the carport.
